Proverbs 3:12

Proverbs 3:12 KJV – “For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.”

Do you know … Once you drop your “ego” you can be corrected?

Correction isn’t a popular subject. It isn’t glamourous. It’s not even seen as shout-worthy. But once you no longer have to be right, God can form you into who you were called and created to be.

Don’t consider correction as God rejecting you. Hebrews 12:5-7 CSB says, “And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: My son, do not take the Lord’s discipline lightly or lose heart when you are reproved by him, for the Lord disciplines the one he loves and punishes every son he receives. Endure suffering as discipline: God is dealing with you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?”

Consider God’s realignment as love. Spinal realignment is painful, but it gives you the ability to walk upright. In the same way, God’s realignment is uncomfortable, but it empowers you to walk right. It empowers you to believe right. Growth is a necessity to get from point A to point B. If you are being corrected, you have been received as a Child of God. Rejoice in GOD’s correction.
